TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
In
ILS 501 Introduction to Information Science and Technology – I learned basic html code
and built my first web page.
In
ILS 604 Advanced Reference Services and Materials
– I created an online form to use
in an email reference service.
Also
in ILS 604 –
students were required to design an assignment page.
As
an MLS degree requirement – students are create a CD Portfolio of their work. You are currently browsing mine.
Other
technical expertise – I have an indepth familiarity with Word and Excel, as evidenced by the documents
I have created in the MLS program. I also have used Outlook. My work for Sno-Isle
Libraries gave me the opportunity to become familiar with CARL circulation system and catalog, Library Online,
and Print Management. I am also familiar with bibliographic sources such as BIP. PCs,
printers, scanners, bar code readers, fax machines, cash registers, 10-key, and copy
machines are familiar from various employment positions and from personal use.
